Armored Warriors, also known as Powered Gear - Strategic Variant Armor Equipment in Japan, is a Capcom video game which was released in 1994.
It’s a beat ‘em up mecha game that transports us to the year 2281, where the forces of Earth and the planet Raia have agreed on a ceasefire after a toilsome war spanning 50 years. However, just one year later, former captain of the Raian army, Azrael, and other cyborgs decide to invade Raia’s capital city, Melkide. They steal weapons from the army and start kidnapping civilians. In response to the attack, Earth sends an army to Raia to destroy Azrael’s forces and rescue the civilians. But the real reason behind the operation is seize control of Raia once Azrael has been dealt with.
One of Armored Warriors best features is its multi-player option (a maximum of 3) and the fact that you can change up the mecha attacks by adding items and extensions found throughout the game.
