Art of Fighting was developed by SNK and released in arcades in 1992. It was later ported to various home consoles and computer systems.

The game features a roster of characters with unique fighting styles, including the protagonist Ryo Sakazaki and his rival Robert Garcia. The game also introduced the use of "desperation moves", powerful special attacks that can only be used when the player's health is low.
