Michael Fassbender stars in and produces Assassin's Creed!

Irish master thespian Michael Fassbender arms himself for the big screen adaptation of the award-winning action-adventure video game Assassin's Creed in which he plays modern-day bartender Desmond Miles, who's descended from a long line of assassins. Assassin's Creed reunites Fassbender with director Justin Kurzel with whom he already collaborated on the Shakespeare adaptation Macbeth. To ensure that Assassin's Creed gets the classy movie it deserves, acclaimed English playwright Michael Lesslie was hired to pen the first draft of the screenplay.
We have known for sometime now that Michael Fassender (X-Men Days Of Future Past) will be producing and starring in the movie adaptation of the popular game franchise, "Assassin's Creed" and it now looks like we have our director.

According to several reports, Justin Kurzel who just finished directing Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard in "Macbeth" will direct "Assassin's Creed".

I'm feeling pretty good about this news. The director has previously worked with Fassbender and it looks like Fassbender handpicked him since he is producing the film.

I'm really looking forward to Macbeth as both a huge fan of Fassbender and Cotillard.

Obviously Macbeth is an adaptation of the Shakespeare play and Shakespeare is a hard thing to pull off in a film so if Michael Fassbender thinks Justin Kurzel did that film well then I have immense faith for Assassin's Creed.
Many people worry and get concerned when they here a video game is going to be made into movie, and we have perfect reason to. Look at the Assassin's Creed movie coming out next year with Michael Fassbender, it doesn't look like its going to be, granted, I don't know what direction its going in. They're having problems with production, there isn't a director, only Fassbender has been cast, and its taking a turn to not being good. If you look at Star Wars, already has a director, already has its cast, already started filming, and it comes out about 6 months later. Now you may be thinking, its a bigger franchise with much more to lose, they have been only thinking about Star Wars. But that doesn't mean Assassin's Creed can't at least have a director, seriously, they need to get going before its to late.
