A guide to modding an Atari 2600 JR for S-Video and Composite output. This mod steps through building a custom circuit board to achieve this. It is also a non-destruct mod which involves no case drilling and is basically completely reversible.

The original design is from aussiearcade.com via forum user "Roxbury" so full credit to them. The mod is slightly different as it passes output via a 6-pin DIN instead of using RCA jacks.

Components:
20 column x 13 row Vero board
1 x 4.7k resistor
1 x 9.1k resistor
1 x 18k resistor
1 x 750 ohm resistor
1 x 2k resistor
4 x 75 ohm resistor
1 x 1.6k resistor
1 x 10 ohm resistor
1 x 6.8k resistor
1 x 100uF capacitor
1 x 10uF capacitor
2 x 2n3904 transistors
1 x 5.1v diode
1 x 470pF capacitor
1 x 6pin mini DIN (or 9pin mini DIN if you choose to purchase a cable, or S-Video if you choose to drill the case)
3 x RCA sockets (composite, L/R audio. ONLY If you choose to drill into the case)
Variety of hook up wire
