Baldurs Gate 3: what happens when you break your oath as a paladin, there are multiple ways of breaking your paladin's oath in Baldurs Gate 3, depending which oath you chose will depend what you would need to do in order to gain the oath breaker role, generally speaking if you either defeat an innocent person or animal or commit a crime you will trigger the oath breaker night to appear, once you do this withers will no longer allow you to respec before first atoning for the oath you broke....this is simpler than you'd think, just speak to the Oath breaker knight in your camp and pay the toll.
