Battle of the Beasts Tournament Package


Hello and thank you for your interest in this tournament. Battle of the Beasts is a long standing Warhammer Fantasy tournament based on aggressive play while having a lot of fun. In recent years it has also developed into a place where you can finally give your lord that mount he always wanted!

Battle of the Beasts is also a qualifying tournament for the Alberta GT!

When:
March 15/2014
Open and Registration: 8:30
First Game: 9:30-12:00
Lunch Break (Provided)
*Mini-Game during Lunch*
Second Game: 1:00-3:30
Third Game: 4:00-6:30
Awards and cleaned up: 7:00

Where:
Strathearn United Church (8510 95 ave. Edmonton, Alberta.)

General Rules:
-Armies must be GW supported (this includes Chaos Dwarfs).
-Armies are to be no larger than 3000 points.
-Armies need to be fully painted, meaning 3 colors and based.
-All models must be WYSIWYG
-Special characters are allowed.
-The tournament organizers reserve the right to kick out anyone who is acting inappropriately.

Best Rule:
Monsters may be taken from any GW supported book (see above) and taken as a mount for a lord. Just pay the points and stay within section percentage requirements.
If you mix undead and living components then if you lose combat you apply the crumbling first and then apply any remaining combat res difference to the break test. Example: A goblin warboss on a zombie dragon with 3 wounds losses combat by 4. The zombie dragon crumbles and then the goblin warboss takes a break test at -1.

What to Bring:
-Army, rule book, army book, dice, templates, measuring tape,
2 objective markers, pen or pencil, and a calculator.

Awards and Prizes:
-A trophy for Best General will be awarded to the player with the most victory points,
as well as an invitation to the Alberta GT.
-A trophy for Best Painted is awarded to the player with the best painted army
as voted on by the players.
-A trophy for Best Sportsman will be awarded to a player as voted on by the players.
-Plus extra prizes, but these are mysterious and secret...

How to Register:
There are only 29 spots available (1 was already awarded at Cry Havoc)
so you need to sign up early in order to ensure a spot.
To sign up simply send $35 to Malorian99@hotmail.com via Interac etransfer, and email your list and any dietary allergies or condition to malorian99@hotmail.com

It should also be noted that there will be draws for extra prizes and the number of entries for this draw is based off how soon you register: First to sign up getting 30 tickets and the last to sign up getting 1.

An event page will also be created on Facebook, but you aren't officially signed up until you have paid for the tournament.
