Well...it looks right, but it feels off. There's no doubt that the DNA is there and the visuals are just perfect, but something tells me they could have learned a bit from the TMNT arcade game. It's too difficult, at least on its standard difficulty. It's too cheap in some areas. Especially as a new player, this game is intended to eat quarters like crazy until you master it. Not that this is any different from the home versions, but you could own and replay those. There's too much artificial difficulty, too, and you don't get any room to move at all. The bigger sprites just mean everything is more cramped. That said, should someone have this at home to master, it might just carry an equivalent challenge and MIGHT be fun.
