Hey, Wonderers. Today, I just got some very worrying news. One of my best friends from college called me today and told me he was being tested for cancer. He doesn't know the results yet as of now, but he wanted me and everyone else dear to him to know before he got the results to give us a heads up and prepare us for the worst. The cancer he's being tested for is curable and he's actually hoping the results will be positive simply for the sake of knowing what he's been ill with for the past two years, but I'm still worried about him. He's been such an amazing friend to me during some pretty tough times and I just want him to be okay. As a way of showing him support and wishing him well during such a difficult time, I'm making this video for him in hopes that it'll give him hope and remind him that he's not alone in all of this.

This is the story of Billie and Steel, two young teens who are stuck in the hospital with their own illnesses and their struggles of what it's like to be hospitalized. I really connected to their story as I was a sickly kid myself growing up and spent a lot of time at the hospital, too. I luckily recovered and am now much happier and healthier than I was as a kid. But, I must say, being stuck in a hospital isn't fun and can drive anyone crazy. Still, I'm grateful to the help I got and was finally able to recover, just like Billie and Steel did. I hope the same for my friend and that his recovery will go as smoothly as possible. I can't imagine what my life would be like without him...

As for the song I used, it's "Send It On" by the Disney Cast. I just felt like the song captured the message I wanted to send with this video and hope that it will inspired everyone else struggling with illness to stay strong and not give up. I know that times may be tough now, but they will get better if you just hang on to hope and remember that you are not alone.
