Floor 3 of Episode 1, played blind on expert difficulty, using the bstone source port.
The bstone source port has a better control scheme than the DOS version. You can't turn and strafe in the original, which I found clunky and unenjoyable. It's a lot more fun with the port.
The main drawback with the port is that it can vary in performance and gets choppy when turning and strafing, presumably because the engine wasn't designed for that and has a hard time dealing with it. I did ask the port dev about this in a Steam post he made, but he never responded so I'm still not 100% sure that's the cause, it feels like it though. Anyway you'll see it for yourself, whenever the game looks choppy it's usually because I'm turning and strafing, which I do a lot. Still it's better than not being able to turn and strafe, technical manoeuvres are key to getting through the tougher parts of this game.
