Apparently, many of you guys were not so interested in watching that tutorial or commenting on it, which I'm guessing is either because it ran 37 minutes long or because, well, it's a tutorial and thus something to be skipped. Let's see how many people actually watch these matches. I'm going to single out two types of comments and address them pre-emptively--if either of them show up, then that indicates whoever put up that comment didn't read this description (or did it jokingly on purpose):

"You suck" - Yes, I am aware of that. Tell me something I don't know. Anyone who says this pretty clearly didn't see me similarly struggle with the tutorial or didn't read the description in that tutorial, where I give an explanation about it all.

"3:40" or "3:54" followed by "You're welcome" - I've put up the first part of this video to show what the overworld and the lobby looks like for those who want to see it. If you have no interest in it, well, the times where the matches begin are right here in this paragraph. Anyone who still says this has clearly not read the descripton. For some reason, these comments tend to be accompanied by "You're welcome" or "Thank me later," which sounds incredibly obnoxious and egotistical. Not that I have a problem with the comments being accompanied by these statements--I just have a problem with the pre-emptive "You're welcome" in general, as it assumes every reader/listener wants something and never takes into account the people who don't (or they think they're so rare that they don't matter). Such comments also don't take into considering WHY they're included in the video--and for that, I've decided to keep a bit of the after-match stuff after the first one because I realized that if you want to see the overworld and lobby, you might also want to see the post-match animations these chibi avatars have.

By the way, you begin with Ragna by default. Unlike Dragon Ball FighterZ, you have to earn enough points to redeem them for other characters from the overworld. I use a different character in the next video (though not for the third). The online lobbies themselves are more of the overworld stuff, except with these button-like pairs of floor panels to set yourself up in a match, upon which you wait for someone else to show up. Sometimes, it works. Many times, it doesn't. Probably relates to the rate at which people get disconnected in Splatoon 2.

Oh yes, and remember how I mentioned that this game has a ridiculously small range of angles that it considers the cardinal directions, and everything else is a diagonal? Well, your overworld avatar can only move in 8 directions, and look at how often Ragna walks in those intercardinals.

By the way, I don't know who Mr. Tartar is.

As a heads-up, if you're not familiar with my Switch online match videos, I am Blythe-LPS. It stands for "Littlest Pet Shop."

Match #1
vs. Ren
My Characters: Waldstein and Hyde
Opponent's Characters: Weiss and Yu
Stage: Sleeping Fountain Plaza
Well, here's my first opponent. I put up a better fight than I expected. By the way, which franchise the stage comes from is indicated by the diagonal line behind the stage's name: Blue is BlazBlue, purple is Under Night in Birth, yellow is Persona 4, and red is RWBY.

Match #2
vs. Overboard9
My Characters: Hyde and Waldstein
Opponent's Characters: Ruby and Weiss
Stage: Abandoned Temple
Yeah, this game is weird about how you select characters, and you can only do so from the lobby. I'm used to selecting characters right before a match, so I accidentally got stuck with Waldstein and Hyde again.

Match #3
vs. ALR2k
My Characters: Hazama and v-No.13
Opponent's Characters: Makoto and Ragna
Stage: Rail Station
Hey look, my opponent has 71 wins. At that point, I had 1, and it was in this video. My opponent clearly knew their characters' moves, but as I couldn't see movelists from the lobby, I had no knowledge of any characters' moves except Ragna and Jin. What chance did I have? On another note, hey, this is that stage in Eat Beat DEADSPIKE-san.

Match #4
vs. DEATHBRAND
My Characters: Noel and Ragna
Opponent's Characters: Ragna and Jin
Stage: Blockaded District
The many times my opponent did or attempted grabs must mean he or she must've been struggling with getting the quarter circle movements right as I did. Good to know! I wonder if they knew how to change characters.

Match #5
vs. SpliTech
My Characters: Makoto and Chie
Opponent's Characters: Ragna and Jin
Stage: Snow Town
Yep. I couldn't find where to access their move lists and I don't know what they do, but clearly, my opponent was quite used to the initial pair. But this ends with an Astral Finish, which is quite neat to watch regardless!
