I decided to render this at native Wii resolution, and unsurprisingly, all instances of lag were resolved. I just didn't want to deal with any slowdown while doing the battle area. I just wanted to unlock Blooper & the final board.

Note: I have the motion controls mapped to Xbox controller movements, and... they're rather janky. At times they are just too finicky to really be enjoyable, but then other times they work just as you'd expect and are great.
