"Bonus Song" in TMNT IV - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,441In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time for the SNES, there is a special hidden "bonus song" in the sound test.
If you play the STAFF theme in the Sound Test then press the Y button to fade out, an 'alternate version' of the song will play. In my opinion, this is a glitch, and not an Easter Egg. Here's why I think so:
First of all, IGN states that you must select Hard mode as the difficulty in order for this to work. This is not true.
Secondly, the song sounds just straight up awful, and the music in TMNT IV is so good that anything this bad sounds wildly out of place.
Thirdly, playing any other song in the Sound Test then pressing the Y button will fade that song out. I think the STAFF song just fails to fade out properly, so some of the audio tracks continue to play while others are slightly altered.
