In Bow to Blood, players take the role as captain of a powerful airship and compete to become champion of The Arena. While navigating through The Arena’s challenges, players will face a diverse cast of interesting characters, each with their own unique motivations and personalities. No two playthroughs are the same as encounters and challengers are procedurally combined to create a unique experience each time.
Born as a VR passion project from the minds of industry veterans Matt Hoesterey (former Design Director on ReCore, HoloLens Experience Fragments) and Tara Rueping (former Art Director on Telltale’s Tales of the Borderlands, The Walking Dead), Bow to Blood has been in development for over four years. For Bow to Blood, Tara has developed a unique painterly style that extends from the powerful ships to the misty skyscapes, to the fantastical foes the player will face
Take command
Players stand at the bridge of their airship, guiding its flight, leading its crew, and routing power between its systems. They will need to carefully manage each crew member’s assignment and system’s power in order to maximize their chances of success.
Make friends or foes
Each AI challenger has their own unique personality, and will respond to the player’s actions accordingly. Some respect strength, while for others compassion may rule, but all are competing to become champion. Players can befriend challengers by making deals and eventually forming alliances, or they can make challengers into foes by betraying and taking advantage of them to gain an edge in the standings.
Every playthrough is unique
Procedurally generated encounters and a rotating cast ensure no two experiences will be the same. Play over and over again to discover new environments, opponents, and encounters.
