But if I were really honest, my breakdowns come from a different place.
When your friends in other lands are starting to die
but the government won’t help and refuses to let you try.
And the wickedness of men causes their family’s lives to end,
and all you can do is go back to you 9 to 5 and smile and ask the customer if they’re doing alright.
When you don’t know if when you told your friends goodbye
it was actually for the very last time.
All the times I joke and pretend I'm alright,
when in reality anxiety is eating me alive.
I'll make you laugh so you won't really see me.
Because distractions hurt less than false believing
Just stop telling me everything's gonna be ok,
Because you have no idea at night what kind of hell I have to face.
But no, no really, tell me what's on your mind.
It's my job to do the listening.
Really, I'm fine.
