3I've already got the BLC 2005 edition of the game and loved every second of playing that game it had all the great mixtures of fun, skill, speed, planning, strategy and the ability to put yourself in the England squad. When i heard about BLC 2007 i couldn't wait and bought it straight away...but wasn't as impressed as i was when i played the 05. Ok so its got its good points you can now throw to the bowlers end and get more run outs, it gets your more involved in catching by adding a catching bar (even though sometimes this is more annoying than anything when u drops a catch). The update of players, pitches and the ability to set different fielding strategies for different batsmen. However the game should have spent more time in the dressing room before coming out to bat. For example every time your wicket keeper hits the bails off the stumps for a run out, even if the batsmen was in by miles (like stood there blatantly inside the crease) and they call for a run out its insane, and it happens again, and again, and again and what's the point of it. Throwing at the stumps for no apparent reason many times it happens the batsmen safe and the fielder throws at the stumps another "what's the point moment" of the game. OH but it gets worse when he misses the stumps and the balls actually roles for 4 is a slap in the face personally from Brian Lara himself. Some of the fielders reactions are off and slow and sometimes don't even try and catch a ball which they should meaning many moments of yelling at the TV. The commentators are more annoying than 05 by constantly repeating themselves and saying some stuff which makes no sense for the moment. And the crowd it sounds like a dodgy record being repeated for every time you hit the ball out in the field. BUT THE WORST IS when you cancel a run the same crowd noise is played and i have no idea what it is but my god it's annoying (your have to hear for yourself) BUT it aint all that bad, I would say if your a true cricket fan or you know your way around the wickets grab this game, its got some down points as I've said but even with all of these i still love to play the game. If your looking for a bargain grab the 05 edition I've seen it in game station for about £7.
All in all, its got its downsides, some bugs which are annoying but all i nall if you can get passed them and see what else it offers and its always good to see a game taking on the giant of EA and in my opinion winning! 7.0 good....but needs improving!
