Review and test of the British Light Anti-Gas Respirator Mark 2, more commonly known as the LaG MK2. The LaG MK2 was the successor to the LaG MK1, the MK2 is made from a thinner, more flexible rubber that makes the mask more comfortable to wear and reduces the weight of the mask, the mask also has a primitive voice diaphragm on the exhale valve that works surprisingly well, this LaG mask was made in 1952 by Avon rubber, the LaG stayed in service until the mid 1960s until they were replaced by the S6 Respirator.
The Canadian C3 is a very close copy of the LaG MK2, but contains a oral-nasal cup which helps stop the mask from fogging up during use, as well as other minor changes to reduce weight.

The British LaG masks took 60mm filters, the original filters are known to contain asbestos so in this video I test the mask using a 60mm Finnish filter from the 1980s.
This particular mask, just like my LaG MK1 was sold to Denmark as surplus, who then used the mask for a couple of decades before selling the masks on as surplus themselves. Interestingly unlike my LaG MK1 which comes with a Danish manual for the LaG mask called the M45, the manual in this carry sack is for a German GM38 mask, but printed in Danish, which was probably also bought as surplus from West Germany.
