Here's my first attempt at a "Batman" run of Broforce. It's a convoluted and arbitrary list of rules, but the gist of it is:
1. All enemies must be brought to justice and defeated. No skipping any, unless they spawn infinitely and there is literally no way to beat them all.
2. Enemies must be beaten "nonlethally." Guns and bombs are no good. Punches, kicks, and whips are nonlethal, and thus valid. Upon invalidating the challenge (which happens a lot...), I have to kill myself and restart the level.
3. Throwing someone into someone else is valid, but throwing someone off a cliff is not. I may amend this rule, because it makes the challenge much harder.
4. The facade of nonlethality must be maintained even after enemies are defeated. So, punching an enemy off a cliff, or whipping someone until his body explodes, are invalid. Much like Rule 3, I may amend this, as it makes the challenge much harder - Whenever I intentionally kill myself in this video, it's because I accidentally gibbed an "unconscious" mook or accidentally attacked someone.
5. Indirect kills are okay as long as I don't initiate them directly. Shooting an explosive barrel is invalid. Baiting a terrorist into shooting an exploding barrel is valid.
6. Enemy spawners must be destroyed. Any flaming enemies that subsequently exit the spawner are not considered responsibility of Broforce. The easiest way to do this is to bait kamikaze mooks into exploding on top of them.
7. Several bosses are implied to die during their death animation, such as most vehicle bosses. In the spirit of the challenge, I'll still be attempting to defeat them "nonlethally."
8. Though it's implied Satan doesn't truly die when killed at the end of levels, I'm still going to attempt to scare or throw him away whenever possible.
9. Aliens and Hell levels might be actually impossible. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
10. To facilitate the challenge and cut down on the already large amount of suicides, I'm playing through a modified version of the arcade campaign that only spawns a few hand-picked Bros I've determined to be experts at nonlethal takedowns: Indiana Brones, Boondock Bros, Brominator, Bro Hard, Bro Heart, and Time Bro. This campaign was provided by Soup Calhoun. Thanks, Soup!

Phew, that's a lot of stipulations. Hopefully it gets the idea across - Batman doesn't kill, but still has to take down all the bad guys. Enemies that kill themselves or each other out of stupidity aren't Batman's fault. I probably messed up without realizing it at some points, but given how hard it is already, I'm willing to let those slide. Let me know what you think! If enough people like it, I'll record the rest of the run, too...Or at least however far I get without giving up.
