7This series will be a blind playthrough of the game Broken Age, the latest adventure game from Tim Schafer's Double Fine. Before we begin, know that this game is all about story and riddles, and if you watch these vids, everything will be spoiled for you.
This game is an excellent example of how to do adventure games right. Every aspect is carefully considered to avoid the common pitfalls of adventure gaming: aimless wandering, pixel-hunting, and illogical puzzles. If you love adventure games or if you want to love adventure games but don't (like me), you should buy this and play it and support good game design. The story is gripping, there's plenty of humour, and the characters are loveable. If you watch this playthrough before you play the game, you'll probably regret it.
I completed Act 1 of this game in 4 hours. Act 2 will be released later this year.
