Apparently Unity-chan is a Vocaloid thing, not a chan board thing as I supposed in the video. Regardless, the character design still seems to clash a bit, and this game itself just feels way too slippy even after you get the controls to behave. Didn't realize at the time that it's still in Early Access, but eh. At least it was easy on the wallet.
