Can A Total Newbie Mod His Dreamcast In Under 10 Minutes? A GDEMU Install!
19Wanting to play Phantasy Star Online ver2 on Sylverant with some other Dreamcast players, I decided to finally mod my Dreamcast with GDEMU. The GDEMU allows you to just take an SD card, load it up with as many GD-Rom files that your heart desires, and then play them on your Sega Dreamcast. I thought it would be interesting to record myself going in without reading any tutorial, guide, or anything on this to see if it really is that easy.
And it is! I did it in around 9 minutes, and that's with some issues with the supplied stand offs and doing some work on the laser which was unnecessary. I think if I did this again I could probably install the GDEMU in under 2 minutes, no joke.
With how straight forward and easy this was, everyone should really do this mod. Just like how the Xstation breathed so much new life into the PSX community, the GDEMU appears to be doing the same. Cant wait to see you guys on Sylverant!
