Carl Zeiss Cinemizer OLED headtracker: Enabling head tracking in all PlayStation 3 games
4Exploring how the Zeiss Cinemizer OLED headtracker can be used to play ALL PS3 , PS2 and yes PS1 games too. Here I filmed two methods .. using GIMX Bluetooth+UBUNTU live USB+and GIMX Serial + CRONUS (wired over USB) .. So all FPS games ..say Crysis or Battlefield 3 , to headtracking used in TPS games Journey , Sleeping Dogs, all the Metal Gears inclduding Metal Gear Rising.. any game that you want to map head tracking to you can.. As I am filming a flat tv and holding the headtracker the movement can be jerky .. when wearing it though it is smooth as glass and we can use GIMX to tweak away to suit your head movements. In this video I wanted to show headtracking is possible in all PS3 games , not just the mouse controlled ones ..when I a get a video capture device I will be able to show you Raiden slicing melons with my head ..perceivable lag free too!
