On a much more serious note than the previous video... there's actually a second credits roll for Richter. Finally, we get some resolution on the most pressing and, quite frankly, ridiculous details left hanging... where did Richter's wagon and horses go after he left them, and how on earth did he expect all those damsels to get back to the village on their own? I mean, Rick barely made it this far on his own, and based on the path he took... I'm almost certain he just got lost at every turn trying to figure out where he parked so that he could move on to the next area without delay.

Instead of paying tribute to the friends who got him this whole way (who can forget about trusty Axe or Holy Water?!), with Richter, it's all about the ladies... he has a roll call just for them, although he doesn't let them speak or tell us their names as a reminder, no, no, no. Anyway, all loose ends further inexplicably tie together and that whole love wagon can find its way back home with everyone together. Except for that ferryman, I don't know what his deal was, but he declined to be involved with the whole scandalous affair, apparently. (Rick don't roll that way anyway, at least not for anyone but a certain lord of darkness... Annette will just have to understand remaining merely one component of a consolation prize.)

So... yay... rescuing all the damsels gets you their pictures slapped on the screen while Richter rides around in his hot wheels... c'mon, it's 1792 and he parked his Ferrari in the future where it's yet to be invented, sheesh.

What I find more bizarre is that Dracula's castle still doesn't collapse, so the ending itself is completely unchanged even where the credits backdrop does have room to fluctuate... and Maria's version of the ending ALWAYS has the castle collapse instead, so... what's up with any of that?

And, for the record, it's sort of a plot point that Castlevania randomly reemerges and is a completely different castle yet again for Symphony of the Night, so it's not like they left it standing on purpose... especially one way they do and the other way they don't... what do you mean Maria's ending is clearly the non-canon one?!

---

Oh well, that's it folks! Cut it and print it, it's a wrap! ...wait, it's already being sent out to people via the magic of the Intertubes webwork... I have no idea what you should do about that then. Take five, everybody!

...or I would say that, except I wouldn't be quite true to form if I didn't have at least SOMETHING that doesn't fit with the normal game progression left to throw at you. Stay tuned for ...less-than-thrilling inconclusiveness and silly addenda! (Hooray!)
