"Catgender is a xenogender in which one feels a gendered connection to cats and/or other felines. One may feel a strong gendered connection to cats or felines, or may incorporate them into one's gender to better understand their identity.
One's catgender identity may be connected to alterhumanity, but is not specific to alterhumans. In this case, one may feel like a cat themselves and/or share traits, which is related to their catgender identity.
For example, one's gender may feel lazy unless provoked, and sometimes playful and soft. (This is just one example; not all catgender people feel this way.) Another example is that one's gender may feel like they do when they are interacting with cats."
