Centipede is a fixed shooter arcade game developed by Atari and originally released in 1981. In 1983, Atari adapted the game for the Intellivision console under its Atarisoft label.

The Intellivision version of Centipede was programmed by Mark Kennedy, with graphics by Eric Wels and sound by Russ Haft. Despite the hardware limitations of the Intellivision compared to arcade machines, this adaptation was noted for being a faithful rendition of the original game.
