U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465 offload and rebuild a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter on MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Mar. 12, 2021. The CH-53E was transferred from Hawaii to Okinawa in support of Force Design 2030. The CH-53E was disassembled by HMH-463 in Hawaii to accommodate transport in a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft with the Alaska Air National Guard. After arriving at MCAS Futenma, HMH-465 rebuilt the aircraft and is now flying the CH-53E in support of III Marine Expeditionary Force operations and exercises. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl.
