Chapter 1: Point Insertion - Half-Life 2 - no commentary - with a bit of mods from the workshop
I'M BACK! (After an eternity...)
It's been ages since my last upload, and I'm finally back with a new video!
But first, a little backstory. My Steam library decided to throw a tantrum, and I can't explain why. So, my dad has to reinstall Steam, and I have to reinstall every game that I own. And I'm scared that I have to replaying DOOM 3 back to level 1 again. Cuz I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to horror games.
So, to ease myself back into gaming, I'm diving into a classic game that everybody's grandparents know and have played these games back in the 80s (except my parents): HλLF-LIFE 2
1 Like = I will let an alien empire slave humanity in real life (when I'm like in my 40s IDK)
Also, I have installed some mods from the workshop.
Quick summary:
Gordon Freeman awakens by the enigmatic G-Man and finds himself in City 17, a dystopian metropolis under the control of the alien empire, Combine. Gordon navigating through the city, witnessing the oppressive regime and encountering citizens living in fear. Before meeting a old friends of his, and meeting someone new.
Enemies:
Metrocops - The Civil Protection, or metrocops or Cps, are the brutal enforcers of the Combine's oppressive regime in occupied cities like City 17. These heavily armed and armored officers, recruited from the human population, are responsible for suppressing dissent, enforcing strict social controls, and maintaining the Combine's grip on Earth's dwindling resources.
City Scanner - The City Scanner, designated Scanner Type I but more commonly known simply as a Scanner, is a ubiquitous symbol of the Combine's oppressive presence. These lightly armored, airborne surveillance drones patrol the skies of City 17 and likely other urban centers, their mechanical eyes constantly watching, recording, and enforcing the Combine's will. Equipped with a powerful searchlight, Scanners meticulously document the lives of the citizens, capturing every moment for the Combine's vast data network. A blinding flash accompanies each photographic capture, a deliberate tactic to disorient and control the populace. Even indirect exposure to the flash can temporarily rob a person of their vision
Armored Personnel Carrier - The Combine Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) is a heavily armored transport, a staple of Overwatch presence across controlled territories. These imposing vehicles serve as rapid deployment platforms for Civil Protection teams within the dense urban sprawls of City 17 and beyond, swiftly reinforcing troubled sectors and suppressing civilian unrest. In urban areas, the APC's role expands to encompass patrolling the desolate Canals and rugged Coast, extending the Combine's iron grip over even the most isolated regions. The APC's formidable arsenal is designed to deter and eliminate threats with extreme prejudice. Equipped with automated, guided rocket launchers, it can engage distant targets with pinpoint accuracy, decimating entrenched positions or neutralizing fleeing rebels. A mounted, high-velocity automatic pulse weapon, functionally similar to the static Emplacement Guns, provides devastating suppressive fire, capable of tearing through light cover and inflicting heavy casualties on unarmored targets.
