Replacing a bowstring and not sure what to get? Be careful of this ONE thing that can destroy your bow. Many traditional bows are not made to be used with modern high-performance strings (including Fastflight, Dyneema, Spectra, etc.). As such, they can only use Dacron, a stretchier string material. The less stretchy, faster strings place more stress on the limb tips, which may cause them to break. Check whether your bow is Fastlight-compatible or whether it has reinforced or phenolic tips (see: https://www.3riversarchery.com/bow-building-phenolic-tip-overlays.html).
