Welcome to Let's Play Civilization VI as England on Deity

Continuing our lets play as England. Were playing on an Islands Plates map this time because want to take full advantage of England and Victoria's abilities. This should give us lots of opportunities to take advantage of England's bonuses for settling or invading other continents. Also we should be able to get lots of Royal navy dockyards down to generate extra trade routes. England is an exception to the one trade route per city rule and both our dockyard and our commercial hubs will generate trade routes.

This will also give us an opportunity to experience some navel warfare which has been sorely lacking in the last couple of series. Also the limited land space will provide some challenges to both myself and the AI, and hopefully make for a interesting game.

So far I have found it very easy to expand in this series thanks to not sharing a land mass with the AI.

England's Unique abilities, Unit and Structure.

England's Unique Ability:

British Museum - Each archaeology museum can hold 6 Artifacts slots instead of the usual 3 and they automatically theme when full, regardless of Artifacts owner or era. Also they can support 2 archaeologists. - (note in my test game the 6 artifact slots only worked on museums in cities that I founded, automatic theming still worked)

Victoria's Unique ability: Pax Britannica
All cities found or conquered on a continent other than your home continent receive a free melee unit. Receive a redcoat after researching military science.

Victoria's unique unit
Redcoat - Industrial era melee unit available with military science. 65 combat strength base, plus 10 combat strength when fighting on a foreign continent making it more powerful than infantry under certain circumstances. Also no penalties to disembark. The redcoat is the strongest unit of the industrial era (artillery and infantry are part of the modern era).

England's Unique Unit:

Sea Dog - A replacement to the privateer unit. Same stats as the privateer but is able to capture defeated enemy ships.

England's Unique Improvement:
Royal Navy Dockyards - Replaces the harbor, half the usual construction cost of a harbor. In addition to usual benefits of a harbor, the royal navy dockyard provides an automatic +2 gold for being built on a foreign continent, all naval vessels built their receive + 1 movement, and always provides an extra trade route. which means cities with both a royal navy dock yard and a commercial hub provide 2 trade routes up from the new usual maximum of one.
