I use this rather than coloring my gray hair. It slowly fades out without the visible grow lines of even the semipermanent colors. Eady to use. Covers very naturally.. I love this product. It is thick enough that it doesn't run. I’d used permanent color on my hair for decades. It always turned brassy and dried out my hair. I’ve been using this for nearly a year. The permanent color finally grew out. I used this once a month. My hair look great. The color looks natural, it covers the gray and no more frizzy ends or brassy color.. I have used permanent color for the past 20 years to cover graying hair. Now my natural color is almost white/grey. The every 3 week coloring was damaging my hair and at age 70 dark hair doesn't look so natural. I was searching for a way to GRADUALLY go grey. This color is perfect. I can apply as often as needed with no damage. It doesn't completely cover the gray. Every 3-4 weeks works for me. A single bottle can be used for 3-4 touch-ups. There is a little grey showing through. Just what I wanted. For more complete coverage, leave the color on for an hour or more. Over six months or so, I plan to color less often and allow more of my natural color to "show". When I am ready I can gradually wash it out!. This semi-permanent hair color is good quality. It covers gray well and is so easy to use. Just remember that chestnut is reddish. I forgot, so my hair is more auburn than I expected or wanted, but nothing wrong with the color itself.
