Filmed on the 7th July 2017. This is a train ride on a First Trans-Pennine Express Class 185 Siemens Desiro from Doncaster to Scunthorpe on a nice sunny day. This one is 185121 and was still in the old livery as most of these train units are now in the new post-2016 livery. The Class 185 units have the power Cummins QSK19 Turbo-Charged Diesel Engine that is rated at 750hp per car (that's 2250hp per train formation of 3 cars). These trains use the Voith Hydraulic transmission of a direct-drive setup rather than the electronic transmission as used on the Class 220/221/222 trains that have the same engine.
