Hey Everyone,
This patch has a ton of new sounds, gameplay tweaks, balance tweaks, a couple new buildings, improved AI for the new cowman mutant, a bunch of multiplayer and single player bug fixes, some improved caves and lots more.
We’ve also changed how repairing works. Now you’ll actually need to replace some of the lost logs instead of being able to just use tree sap for more heavily damaged structures. Let us know what you think about this change, and if it makes things too hard, or is still too easy and should be pushed further (To avoid destruction all together, use the cheat mode by typing ‘ironforest’ in title screen.)
Note: To eat berries/food/ or drink at lakes, press and HOLD the action key.
Flare gun can now be reloaded using flares on the crafting mat
New pedometer art added! Now actually looks like a pedometer instead of a mobile phone
Fixed Walky Talky disappearing when added to the crafting mat
improved fat creepy mutant, more attack variety, can be staggered by explosions, can dodge close player attacks
New waterfall flowing white water shader!
New item: Breakable flare box!
Burn animation added to mutants!
Cold damage effect made more subtle
Time is now paused while in inventory in single player mode
Dropped dynamite when you have too many no longer explodes
(hopeful fix) for player occasionally flying into air when running and jumping at enemies.
Buildings that have collapsed logs now require logs to be repaired (1/3 of collapsed logs)
New building: Extensible Defensive Wall ! (replaces legacy one in book)
New building (kinda): Floor hole cutter
(audio) Sound effects for bird landing on finger added

The Forest Gameplay Walkthrough Season 2 Part 1 (Alpha v.0.21)
The Forest is an open world survival horror game currently in development for PC. - Build, explore, survive in this terrifying first person survival horror simulator.
The world - Enter a living, breathing forest with changing weather patterns, plants that grow and die. Tides that roll in and out with the day/night cycle. Below ground explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes.
Complete player freedom - Chop down trees to build a camp, or start a fire to keep warm. Scavenge food to keep yourself from starving. Find and plant seeds to grow food.
Build a small shelter or a large ocean side fortress. decorate your home with found items. Lay traps and defenses to keep a safe perimeter.
Gameplay - Explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools.Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy.
Fight or Hide - Use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.
A new type of open world, survival horror experience, Defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families and morals and that appear almost human.
