Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a first—person shooter developed by the Canadian company Beenox. The game is a completely redesigned version of the single-player campaign Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, developed by Infinity Ward, on a slightly improved engine Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The project was officially announced on March 30, 2020, and was released the next day on March 31, 2020 on the PlayStation 4 platform. On April 30, 2020, the game is expected to be released on other platforms: Xbox One and PC in the digital distribution service Battle.net . The plot of the game is a continuation of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The events of the game unfold five years later (that is, in 2016) after the end of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The Russian ultranationalist organization, despite the death of its leader Imran Zakhayev, won the Civil War in Russia. Fearing the strengthening of Makarov's position, NATO formed an elite detachment of OTG-141, led by American General Shepard, to fight terrorists.
