The penultimate episode of Arrow Season 4 brings Oliver and his friends one step closer to stopping HIVE's plan to destroy the whole world. We also witness the return of Mr. Terrific aka Curtis, as he helps Felicity and Noah hack away at Darhk's plans.
In the previous episode of Arrow, we saw Felicity seeking an unlikely ally in her father, Noah, to stop nuclear missiles from killing millions of people. Noah's involvement in "Monument Point" did stop Darhk from becoming infinitely more powerful than he would have been, had the father-daughter hacker duo hadn't misdirected the missile.
However, Darhk is still a lot more powerful than Oliver, and Thea is now in the underground world that he created for the people who are protected from the man-made apocalypse "Genesis." Felicity can use all the help she can get to stop the big bad, and she turns to the man who helped save Ray from Darhk once, Curtis. On the other side of the hack, Felicity's ex-boyfriend Cooper is enlisted to hack Rubicon back under Darhk's control. An epic hacker battle ensues with the Smoak team ultimately stopping Rubicon.
Meanwhile, Oliver and Diggle go on a rescue mission for Thea. After discovering the underground world, which lies under the much sought after area of Star City - The Glades, Oliver and Diggle must fight against Merlyn and a drugged up Thea. Thea eventually snaps out of her drugged up state and fights Anarky alongside Oliver and Diggle.
::SPOILER:: Anarky causes havoc in the underground world and takes Ruve and child hostage. Oliver, Diggle, and Thea fight Anarky. While Oliver is able to save Darhk's daughter, Ruve is stabbed by Anarky and left to die in the rubble.
Flashing back to Lian Yu, Taiana is possessed by the idol and uses her powers to help her and Oliver escape the army fighting against them. But to their surprise, Ryder is still alive.
Lastly, Darhk having learned of the death of his wife is devastated, vowing to destroy the world. We end tonight's episode with Darhk paying Felicity, Donna, and Curtis a visit, making Felicity a proposition that she may not be able to refuse.
Arrow Season 4 is headed for a finale that could turn out to be the biggest one yet. We will have to wait and see if Oliver and team can stop Darhk and save the world.
