Use your scatter gun to destroy fighters. Don't worry about using anti-shield lasers. Try to roll out of the way of incoming missiles. The enemy fighters also gain heat probes that they can use to redirect your missiles away from their fighters. So, wait until you are extremely close before firing missiles. When disabling the platform use your EMP gun and aim for the black circle. Make sure not to get too close or you will crash into the circle which is actually solid and not a hole.
