Here we are, lads... the ending of D2. Please note that I left this video a bit longer than normal simply because having a specific video -JUST- for the ending, while kinda funny, would be really dumb.

I would also not be surprised if this video was de-monetized (not that we have ever monetized anything lol) due to the footage used in the end cutscene.

SO, we're on disc 4, which involves going up a mountain, fighting lots of hard enemies, then fighting the final boss. The final boss is a huge meme (who knew???), that involves literally no skill. I like the idea of Laura losing her senses as the boss goes on, but the fact that you just randomly get hurt with no way of stopping the damage is pretty dumb. It's essentially scripted. What else did I expect?

As for the ending, we talk about it a lot, but... wow. I don't know why I expected something different, but, yeah. Laura gets a happy ending with Le Greatest Guy In Le World, David, and then we get a bunch of sad videos and stats on black background... cool.

I want to be clear: I liked D2. It was (super, super) long-winded at times, but I really appreciated what it tried to do. The gameplay is actually pretty good, and I don't hate the story... I just hate the majority of characters (really only liked Parker.... Laura does too little to even have an opinion on her). But that ending left a super sour taste in my mouth. Even if they would have given us a more detailed actual game ending, THEN showed us all the Sad Boi (tm) stuff, that would have been fine (enough) for me.... but we didn't.

Essentially, in a game that went out of its way to explain EVERYTHING and go on and on about EVERYTHING, we get a super short game ending... k.

That won't stop me from trying to set the world record speedrun, however... you'll hopefully see it on the channel soon! Thanks for watching, and yes, I do plan on doing Enemy Zero (Saturn) at some point... it's kinda technically in the D series so... yay.
