Complete in Cast Episode 22 - Game Review #1 - Resident Evil 5 (Guest: Parker)
Welcome to Complete in Cast, the official podcast of Complete in Box Video Games. In this episode, we have a first – a game review! A lot of people in the gaming community have problems with the way game reviews are done nowadays. In an effort to always be first, many reviews are done quickly, with no real depth, and oftentimes by people who may not be fans of the particular genre.
In this series of reviews, Parker and I sit review each game, one per episode, in great detail. We then give scores (out of 10), to six categories: Story, Gameplay, Sound (Voice Acting, Music, etc), Graphics (and Atmosphere), Fun Factory, and Replayability.
For us, an average score is a 5. Anything in the 7 range is very good, whereas anything above an 8 is great, with above a 9 being absolutely exceptional. As an example, a 7.7 overall would be a very good game experience, top to bottom.
At the end, we add up all the scores, divide by 6, and we have an aggregate score! In this episode, we discuss Resident Evil 5. It was the first RE game that Parker has played, although I am much more familiar with the series. We played it co-op on the PS4, and it was really a fantastic time. The score break-down is below:
