Kafka is a Lightning-type character who walks the path of Nihility! She is the third 5-star Nihility character introduced to the game after Silver Wolf.
Kafka's Skill deals AoE Lightning damage to enemies. If an enemy has a Damage-over-Time effect (like Shock or Wind Shear) currently applied, the effect of the DoT will trigger be triggered.
This means that Kafka's ideal team comp requires her to have teammates who can apply DoT effects like Luka, Sampo, or Serval. Luckily, it just so happens that all three of these characters are going to be featured as rate-up characters in her banner!
If another party member uses a Basic ATK, Kafka will initiate a Follow-up attack on the targeted enemy. This Follow-up attack has a chance to apply a Shock status on enemies.
This will help her with both Energy Regeneration and applying DoT to enemies.
Kafka's Ultimate deals DMG to all enemies and has a high chance of applying Shock to them. Kafka's Ultimate will deal additional damage if enemies already have the Shock status effect.
Kafka's Technique causes her to deal Lightning damage in an AoE around her. It was not mentioned if she can apply a Shock status with this ability, even though it had this function in the Closed Beta test prior to Star Rail's official release.
Imbibitor Lunae will most likely be released in Version 1.3 of Honkai: Star Rail, which is on August 30, 2023. This is based on Hoyoverse's history of revealing characters that will only be released 2 version patches ahead of time.
There has been no official info announced regarding which phase of Version 1.3 Imbibitor Lunae will be released in.
Imbibitor Lunae is an alternate form of Dan Heng that appeared in the Trailblaze Mission series called Topclouded Towerthrust. It was revealed that Dan Heng was previously the High Elder of the Vidyadhara and held the title of Imbibitor Lunae.
