Completionist π trophy. Rugby 22 on PS4.
Trophy Tip: By far the hardest and longest trophy in the game. There are 100 missions, and for this trophy you need to complete one grid of 25 of them. Completing a mission means completing it, up to its maximum tier! While the trophy itself is technically not buggy, many of the missions themselves either don't track correctly, have misleading stated requirements, are poorly worded, or just an arduous grind. I'll do my best to go through some of the most bitchslapping ones here:
Quality And Quantity: The counter refers only to the number of eligible packs opened. Superior and epic players from other packs don't count, and multiple players from the same pack only count as 1. A serious grind.
Daily Attendance: Might be buggy as I can't get the counter to advance.
Events: Only seems to count when fulfilling the requirements in Quick Match mode.
No Weaklings: Again, only Quick Match mode seems to count.
ATK/DEF: Bonuses are only awarded in competitions which feature them, such as the group stage of the World Cup and some leagues (I don't follow northern hemisphere rugby irl so I'm not sure which). Can technically be simmed but is a major grind either way.
Cutter: Only standard tackles with O count.
Catcher: A serious pain as it's entirely luck-based, made slightly easier with 2 controllers.
Provocation, Pacemaker, Steady Scorer, Long-Range Scorer & Line-out After Penalty: Because the AI hardly ever gives away any penalties, it's best to do these with 2 controllers.
Impressive Ride: For a try to count your team must win possession inside your 22, you can't simply run backwards then turn around and score.
Hands Up: Luck-based and bizarrely if your AI teammates block you that also counts.
Technician: A "technical move" just means a sidestep, hold R2 + right stick perpendicular to your direction.
Medical Assistance & Dexterous: Luck-based, hold R2 + right stick to do an aggressive tackle to boost your chances of causing an injury.
Fresh Blood & One By One: To make sure that all substitutions count I recommend doing them all in one go at half-time. Avoid making "recommended" substitutions or ones following injury cutscenes etc. as these don't seem to count.
Out Of Breath: Not sure exactly what triggers this but it unlocked for me after I simmed about 20 consecutive career mode matches, obviously you should NOT attempt this until after you've unlocked π"Practice makes perfect" to avoid losing Career progress.
Last One Standing: Possibly buggy, I've done dozens of last-defender tackles and I'm still on 2/300.π€¦πΌ
Tank: The try must be scored by the player who fended.
Same As Training & All Planned: General-play set plays count, as long as the lines under the players go green and you score in that phase (i.e. before the next ruck) it counts.
Expected Result & Hardship: Only your own team's lineouts/scrums are eligible and you need to score in that phase, making these ones frustrating.
Stronger: This seems pretty ridiculous but once you learn how to win every one of the AI's rucks on legend difficulty with square then spamming X, which is required to get the money from friendly matches in career needed for π"Practice makes perfect" this one will come naturally.
League, Premier League, Top 14, United Rugby Championship, Pro D2, Deja-vu & Best Of The Best: These can all be simmed in League mode. Depending on the competition you may need multiple attempts.
Best Of The Best & Deja-vu: For these ones make sure that on the League mode team select screen the seasons you want to count are displaying, as there is a limit to how many the game will track.
Overpowered: You should only attempt this after unlocking π"Practice makes perfect" to minimise the grind.
Alone Against All: This one can only be earned in League mode and because you need to also beat the team you are using it requires a minimum of 2 playthroughs. Wins count across multiple seasons as long as they display on the League mode team select screen.
Optional Competitions: Playing the same optional competition a second or subsequent time only counts if you are in a different (mandatory) competition to the first time.
Weather Forecast: The devs thought it'd be a great idea to force you to set the weather by pressing R3 from the main menu before each game unless you only want the default, even in Career mode.π€¦πΌ
Heal: The hardest part of this is actually getting injured, which is luck-based, it seems it's easier when simming matches so it's best to leave this one until after you've unlocked other Career mode trophies.
Hard Work & Team Training: To minimise the grind, always choose the same training option and ideally using your highest-rated players, eg. if they are forwards, always choose Scrum, if backs, choose Teamwork, etc.
Eagle Eye & Brotherhood: DO NOT attempt these until after you've unlocked π"Practice makes perfect", or you've wasted your money.
Investments: You must play all matches, this can't be simmed.
Good luck!
