Comprehension XII
Suppose a particle has four quantum numbers such that the permitted values are \( n=1,2,3 \ldots \ldots \)
\( l=(n-1),(n-3),(n-5), \ldots \), but no negative value \( j=\left(l+\frac{1}{2}\right) \) or \( \left(l-\frac{1}{2}\right) \), the latter is not negative \( m=-j \) in integer step to \( +j \).
The other permitted values for \( n=2 \) is/are
(a) \( l=1, j=\frac{3}{2}, m=-\frac{3}{2} \)
(b) \( l=0, j=\frac{1}{2} ; m=-\frac{1}{2} \)
(c) \( l=1, j=\frac{1}{2} ; m=-\frac{3}{2} \)
(d) All of these
