Console Fighting Games of 2002 - Dragon Ball Z Budokai
1Dragon Ball Z Budokai or just Dragon Ball Z in Japan is fighting game based on the Dragon Ball Z anime and is the first entry in the Dragon Ball Z Budokai series of video games from 2002 to 2012.
Developed by Dimps, Dragon Ball Z Budokai released in the US and in Europe in 2002 for the PlayStation 2, unlike previous Dragon Ball releases, this release would be for all of Europe rather than the more localised releases of previous Dragon Ball games.
The game would also release in 2003 in Japan as well as New Zealand and Australia. The same year the game would also receive a GameCube port, which released worldwide.
Sadly on the 1st of March 2024, legendary manga artist, character designer, model designer and creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama passed away at the age of 68.
