This video describes two additional scrolls tacked onto Mayna's original manipulation. The first is easier to get than the second, but it saves 30 seconds if done properly. If the first scroll is hit and not the second, only 2-5 seconds are lost.

Quick note: I mention that three dudes need to hit the wall in the room where you obtain the cross. I misspoke. Two dudes will actually hit the wall, the third will appear and run at it, but you want to drop down before he hits the wall.
