Welcome back to my Countdown to Sonic Mania! This is a series of videos looking back at the majority of the Sonic The Hedgehog Franchise in anticipation for the upcoming 2D platformer Sonic Mania scheduled for release August 15th 2017
Looks like we didn't quite destroy Eggman's Death Egg back on the Launch Base Zone. So now we have to finish what we started in Sonic & Knuckles for the SEGA Genesis. Released only months after Sonic 3 in the year 1994.
So...I wanted to give you guys the full Sonic 3 & Knuckles without skipping out on what made the games different. My Sonic 3 playthrough was the stand alone Sonic 3 game. What I'm playing now is the combined Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles game via the SEGA Vintage Collection. Mushroom Hill Zone has to be one of my favorite 1st zones in any Sonic game. The theme takes me back to when I was young playing this with my cousins. Good times.
