This Cranston Manor clone was one of the last computer games I tried to write on my father's 8-bit ATARI. At the time I didn't realize the original was written for 8-bit ATARI by Larry Ledden in 1981, when I was 5 years old, and I could have maybe obtained it. When I was in middle school, I played the graphical version after school on their Apple computers, and wanted to see how hard it would be to make it myself. It turned out to be too hard to finish given what I knew at the time, and it just ran far too slow. But I got quite a bit done, and here you can see it:
