This is the first ever chasing level in the series. As the type of those levels states, Crash is being chased by something, in this case a giant spherical boulder. If he is too slow, he'll be crushed like a pebble on railway track. Each boulder starts rolling from the top of a bridge-like tunnel and stops either by smashing into the wall of the next tunnel along the way or by plunging down a hole. There are no enemies in this level apart from the boulder which makes it somehow easier.
