This run uses an experimental route that would in theory skip the first Cortex fight by getting all of the items before fighting him (using Gate Clip to make a non-Warp 5 level the last Crystal). Unfortunately, the game won't give you the 45th gem unless you beat Cortex 1, so this route doesn't actually work the way it was intended. A new route will be used in the next run.

The midgame of this route (i.e. Gate Clip to Hot Coco) was really atrocious. There is still an obscene amount of time to save in this category. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/riko_ksb
