Three years after the events of "The Wrath of Cortex", Dr. Cortex makes his grand return from the Antarctic, ready to get his revenge on our favorite bandicoot, Crash. Cortex incapacitates Coco and tricks Crash with a disguise and leads him towards the bay. The mad doctor then tries to destory Crash with few bombs from a few friends and a mecha-bandicoot, but Crash still manages to best him and the two end winding up in the island's caverns. A scuffle ensues, but during that, the two find a Power Crystal and eventually find their back to the surface. But once they're out of the caverns, two mysterious adversaries arrive...
