Chronos: The New Dawn is a time-travel horror adventure from Bloober Team, the studio known for blending atmosphere with psychological scares. In the game, you navigate a dark, twisted world where the past and future collide, facing grotesque creatures known as Orphans and solving puzzles that span multiple timelines. The story combines science fiction with horror, creating a tense and unpredictable experience at every turn. For this analysis, I’ll be focusing on how the game runs on Nintendo Switch 2 in docked mode; all footage shown here is from docked play. This is my first time covering a horror game in both a review and a performance breakdown, and I’ll admit, Chronos almost broke me down before I could even finish testing. It’s not the frame pacing or load times that got to me; it’s the sheer tension the game builds.

Disclaimer: This performance breakdown includes gameplay footage that features blood and gore. Viewer discretion is advised.
