CS:GO is More Popular Than Ever. Here’s Why
This week, there were more people playing Counter-Strike than at any point in the HISTORY of the game.
On Sunday, CS:GO broke its own record for all-time concurrent players by hitting more than 900,000 people, all flicking, fragging and force-buying at the same time.
In other words, this eight-year-old, graphically outdated, hardcore FPS with an obsolete game engine has NEVER been more popular.
Why? Well, we MIGHT have Riot Games to thank.
