I thought I rendered the whole clip (which is 10 minutes long and leading into the finale clip), but apparently I didn't. I'm re-rendering right now, I'll upload the full clip when it's done.



This is the last bit of Cube Mod, after completing the final objective, so watch out, some long spoilers ahead.

In my opinion, this is a great mod. It's very detailed, although it can get a little confusing with so much enclosed space navigation. There is some minor puzzle solving and there'll be plenty of bits where you'll find yourself sitting in a room next to what your supposed to do, completely oblivious as you look onward.

This part also features one of the greatest moments of the mod, the end of the silent "friend" that you heard the Hacker talking to. If you haven't played it, but don't care about spoilers (What are you doing reading the description of a video of the finale if you didn't want spoilers), then I'll explain a bit in what I got from the first playthrough.

As you venture further into the facility (You don't stay in the Cube very long), you'll begin hearing some recordings from a guy who got put in the cube too (although in 2076). From the beginning you can tell he's pretty shaken up about his ordeal, and he degrades from unstable to crazy as he finds some controls and hacks them (or something like that, why else would he be called the hacker?) , this causes the facility to get pretty messed up as systems shut down. He loses access to the controls as it gets shutdown, and he realizes that he's left with nothing. No escape, no salvation, only his silent "friend".

As you yourself go through the facility, you see glimpses of the "friend", who ultimately ends up saving you (which you can see in this part), and as you leave the facility, it blows up. This causes your ride to get taken out, and you go into..a dream flashback, before the nukes hit. You approach the under construction facility as 3 men come out, who see and come at you. When they reach you, the "friend" comes in and takes em down, waves to you, and walks into the facility as the Hacker's final recordings play.

It was deep to me at least. R.I.P, Friend.
