14Welcome back to my let's play series of The Curious Expedition Version 1.4, now with modding support! - TCE is a procedurally generated rogue-like adventure game set in the 19th century where you are tasked with travelling to areas undiscovered by civilised man to acquire artifacts for money and fame!
If only it was that easy...
During your treks you will come across unfriendly natives, wild animals and unnatural phenomenon all out to end your quest to become the most celebrated explorer of all time and to have a statue erected in your honour.
In this episode seeing as we had a rather TERRIBLE time with the Doctor(s) for our 900 subscriber special I decided to take them out for another spin but by pressing the random explorer button this time around so which version of the Doctor I get could be anyone... or someone again. (ahem) I decide after finding out that the author of the mod is someone who I follow on Twitter that it's probably best to brush over the custom level and get straight back to playing the normal biomes on certain death difficulty. Sure enough we have another rocky start but soon enough we're exchanging companions for monstrosities and nurturing a special egg which could turn the tables on our terrible luck with this particular character.
Can we get the Doctor beyond the first expedition? Will the companions survive? Am I going to get 13 points again?!

Curious Expedition is a roguelike expedition simulation set in the late 19th century. Together with famous personalities you will venture on unprecedented expeditions to regions never explored before for fame, science and treasures. Put on your pith helmet and khakis and make your way through a lush, procedurally generated world full of wonder and mystery. Now go explore, adventure awaits!

Experience your very own adventure through a procedural story which makes every game unique!
Explore procedurally generated worlds, each with its own distinctive set of challenges for the ambitious explorer!
Plan and equip your trek. A good explorer is prepared for any eventuality!
Manage your resources to keep your trek alive and sanity high. Balance your needs with the desire to carry all that precious treasure back home!
Visit and interact with the land’s natives. Enter villages, trade and communicate with local tribes and civilizations that are unknown to mankind!
Loot mysterious temple ruins to gain fame and treasures, but watch out for deadly traps and curses that will compromise your trek and the world around you!
Equip and utilize miraculous treasures to gain advantages, but be wary of unforeseeable side effects!
Fight and defend your trek against a wide range of wild animals, mystical creatures and even dinosaurs!

Modding and Achievements are here!
Modding!
We have a new modding menu where you can select any amount of mods you want to run in your game.
Steam Workshop support - You can subscribe to mods on steam and they will get automatically downloaded into your game.
No coding required! We have a simple text format which allows to add any new content. Add items, characters, enemies, dice, statuses, events, worlds and much more!
Achievements!
We added over 60 new cool achievements to the game (some of them are secret)
There is a new section in the hall of fame allowing you to see all the achievements and your progress
These achievements are synced to steam achievements, which you can show off on your steam profile. Steam is not required for achievements though
Almost all our achievements track their progress separately for each difficulty level, so once you've mastered easy or medium difficulty, you can try your luck again on a harder difficulty
